Psychological Support

Trauma Resolution Practitioner

I’m Don and I’m a certified Trauma Resolution practitioner. I use ground breaking techniques to alleviate or even fully resolve symptoms caused by psychological trauma.

As a former police officer I worked with many victims of crimes who had been traumatised by their experiences and later I spent 9 years working with families who had been bereaved by murder and manslaughter.

Consequently, I’m no stranger to the debilitating impact of trauma.

Do You Suffer From:

  • Constant anxiety or feeling “on edge” a great deal of the time ?
  • Difficulty sleeping?
  • Nightmares?
  • Feeling jumpy and easily startled?
  • Unpleasant intrusive thoughts or images?
  • Unexplained and unexpected feelings or being threatened?
  • Breathlessness or panic attacks

Are any of these or other symptoms troubling you and making you anxious or upset?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you could be suffering the effects of psychological trauma.

Many people experience these types of difficulty and they can persist for many years or even a lifetime.

In extreme cases, these symptoms may indicate the presence of post-traumatic stress disorder in the sufferer (PTSD) and they limit our happiness and fulfilment.

Mental health is as important as physical health

In fact, they are inextricably linked and the old adage “healthy mind, healthy body”
is an extremely accurate observation.

Mental health as a “taboo” subject

For too long, mental health has been a taboo subject. We’ve been reluctant to acknowledge our mental health and felt uncomfortable discussing psychological issues even with people close to us.

You may be considering, or have already tried some counselling or therapy and perhaps it didn’t have the desired outcome for you. Mental health is complex and there are different approaches available to help.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a “one size fits all” solution and there can be many factors which influence whether a particular method will deliver successful results.

Very often mental problems and emotional difficulties have their roots in our past. We may have experienced one or more traumatic incidents in our lifetimes, whether as a child or later in adulthood.

Traumas can remain with us, severely limiting our capabilities and preventing us from living normal happy lives. Often, we’re not even aware of the origin of the symptoms. We may have sub-consciously repressed events that lie at the root of our difficulties.

We know that we aren’t emotionally balanced, but we don’t understand why.

Fortunately, we can help with this.

Health & Harmony we are pleased to offer a person centred, non-clinical, non-judgemental technique called Trauma Resolution.

Originally developed in the United States, TR is used to great effect throughout the world.

It offers rapid, and in many cases, complete resolution of symptoms.

If you recognise any of the symptoms described here, or perhaps you are just experiencing unwanted and unpleasant feelings or emotions that are troubling you, TR can help you to resolve these and other associated difficulties and get your life back on track.
