Retreat Terms

We know most people don’t think about the need for insurance when travelling within the UK but the unexpected can always happen and if you need to cancel your visit to us you could lose your deposit or even the full cost of the retreat.

We therefore strongly advise all our guests to arrange Personal Accident and Travel/Cancellation Insurance when booking onto one of our retreats.

Booking information:

The retreat cost includes the retreat fee, accommodation, yoga, one wellness treatment and all meals during your stay. Travel to the retreat is not included in the price.

Special diets can be catered for, but you must inform us of your requirements when booking your retreat. Participants must be over 18 years of age and all our retreats are non-smoking inside the premises. Alcohol and recreational drugs are not permitted on our retreats.

Health and Harmony reserve the right to change facilitator, therapist, chef and/or yoga instructor at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. Health and Harmony reserve the right to modify the retreat schedule and times at their discretion.

Payment Policy:

A non-refundable deposit is required for each retreat. The amount will be 40% of the price of the retreat. This deposit is taken upon booking the retreat, with another 40% due within 8 weeks of the initial booking. The remaining balance in full is due 4 weeks prior to the start of the retreat. If the retreat is booked less than 4 weeks in advance the deposit facility will not be available and the full amount will need to be paid when booking.

Refund Policy:

If you have made full payment, cancellations made 8 weeks or more before the retreat start date will receive a refund of the remaining balance of the retreat fee but none of the 40% deposit will be returned. Cancellations made between 4 and 8 weeks before the retreat start date will receive a refund of the remaining balance of the retreat fee but none of the 60% deposit will be returned.

If you cancel less than four weeks before the start of the retreat, no refund will be given. We strongly advise you to take out your own insurance in case you have to cancel through illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellation Policy:

All information included in our website and publicity is correct at the time of going to press, but may be subject to change. Whilst we do not anticipate changes to the advertised retreat dates or venue, we may have to cancel or postpone retreats or change the venue at our discretion.

The retreats managed by Health and Harmony offer fixed programmes which all guests are encouraged to take part in, but is not compulsory. A programme timetable is understandably subject to change at little or no notice due to weather conditions, staff availability and other circumstances which are often beyond the control of Health and Harmony.

If the retreat is cancelled, you may transfer your registration to another retreat date or receive a full refund of all monies (excluding travel costs) unless the cancellation has occurred due to factors beyond the control of Health and Harmony. We suggest you take out your own insurance in case of cancellation through unforeseen circumstances.

Health and Harmony shall in no event be held liable for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages.

For the purposes of organising and running a retreat, we may disclose to you proprietary confidential information, such as (without limitation) know-how, methodology, and materials protected by our intellectual property, however recorded or preserved (the “Confidential Information”).

The Confidential Information may be obviously confidential, or may have been identified as such. It includes the contents of the workshops and activities which take place during the retreats.

By booking a retreat, you agree that you will keep confidential all Confidential Information belonging to Health and Harmony, and that you will not commercially use or exploit the Confidential Information without Health and Harmony’s prior written consent.

We reserve the right to ask participants to leave the retreat if their behaviour is disruptive to the running of the retreat or to the other participants and staff. If you withdraw from the retreat at any time or if you are requested to leave due to disruptive behaviour, no part of the retreat fee shall be refunded. In the case of our staff’s decision to ask you to leave, all matters arising from a dispute are subject to English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
